Conference on Progress in protecting children's rights in Vilnius 

31.10.2014 In anticipation of the 25th Anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, a Conference is being organised by the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania and the Ministry of Social Security and Labour with the support of the Council of Europe Programme "Building a Europe for and with children". It will take place in the Building of the Seimas in Vilnius on 6 and 7 November 2014. The aims and objectives of the conference are to discuss the future challenges and opportunities strengthening the protection of the rights of the child as well as to share international best practice implementing international law on the fight against child sexual exploitation and abuse, the reduction of domestic violence against children and to share examples of best international practice.
